I SEE A CHARGE I DON'T RECOGNIZE

If you didn't take a CAR ride or you see a charge from CAR that you don’t recognize, we’ll be happy to help. The most common reasons for unrecognized charges are:

Temporary authorization: The charge is likely an authorization that CAR uses to verify your payment info.

Family member or friend's ride: Check whether your family or a friend used your CAR account or shared the credit card attached to the charge to take a ride with CAR.

Cancellation or no-show fee: If you requested a ride but didn't take it, the charge you're seeing could be a cancellation fee. CAR uses cancellation and no-show fees to reimburse Drivers for their time and effort. If you were to cancel a CAR ride, you would have been prompted to accept the charge when canceling. NOTE: If the Driver cancels the ride that was not due to a no-show, you will not be charged a cancellation fee.

Unauthorized charge: For a charge that isn't any of the above, you can check the in-app history to review charges. If you still need help, please "Contact Support" below and have the following info ready:

  • Last four digits of your card number
  • Card's expiration date
  • Date of charges in question
  • Amount of unauthorized charges (including cents)
