If you or a member of your group causes physical or cosmetic damage to the interior or exterior of your Driver's car, the Drivers are required to inspect their car after each ride, and have 10 minutes to report back to CAR that the vehicle is clean or the vehicle has a problem. If the vehicle has a problem, they take a picture and notes that are emailed and texted to the Rider that requested the ride in real time. Customer service will review and assess all damage within 24 hours. If the damage is legitimate, the damage fee will apply and your default payment method will be charged. *Please note that the Drivers of CAR cannot take another Rider until they report that the car is either clean or there is a problem. This is for the Rider's safety. Drivers use their personal vehicles to drive other CAR Riders as well as their family and friends. It's important that Drivers keep their car in great condition.
- If the damage is in excess of the normal $150 damage fee, the claim could be escalated through CAR and may require estimates for repairs.
