CAR’s app forces Drivers to inspect the vehicle before they are able to take another Rider. The Driver has 10 minutes to check the vehicle for lost items and damage to the vehicle. The Driver will take a picture of the lost item with a message and that will be sent via text and email to the rider that requested the ride in real time. Please check your email and texts for any missing items.

The best way to retrieve an item you may have left in a vehicle is to call the Driver.

If you lost your personal phone, please return to the place where you exited the vehicle. The Driver may still be there waiting.

If you lost your personal phone and you cannot find the Driver, please contact support.

Please enter an alternative number where the Driver can contact you back. We'll call the number you entered to connect you directly with your Driver's mobile number.

If your Driver picks up and confirms that your item has been found, coordinate a mutually convenient time and place to meet for its return to you.

If your Driver doesn't pick up, leave a detailed voicemail describing your item and the best way to contact you. Sometimes, a text is better and will be seen faster.

Please be considerate of the fact that your Driver's personal schedule will be affected by taking time out to return your item to you.

Neither CAR nor Drivers are responsible for the items left in a vehicle after a trip ends. We're here to help, but cannot guarantee that a Driver has your item or can immediately deliver it to you.
